VENT:: Vendor made error on invite

I  ordered my invites from a local shop here in Lubbock.  I picked them up on Saturday because I'm going to my hometown this weekend and my sisters are going to help put them together and mail out. Last night, I noticed instead of HOTELS on the invitation they put TRAVEL. HOTELS is what I had approved on the proof that was emailed to me. We spent almost $1,000 on invitations so it's disappointing that I paid a lot of money for something that wasn't done correctly nor do I have time to get them re-printed. Anyone experienced something like this?

I would definitely bring it to their attention.  If you don't have time to have them remade they should give you a partial refund!

Contact them immediately.  Point out the error, and see what they can do.  Ideally, they could do some sort of rush order and overnight them to your hometown (at no charge, of course), and they'll get there by this weekend.  If not, see what the absolute fastest they can get them out, and if that will work for you.  Finally, as a last resort, ask for a partial refund.

So, FI and I both called and they weren't going to be able to have the invitations reprinted until Tuesday. (Another company does the printing for them) They were very apologetic and offered to have them mailed to my parents house by Tuesday or return 30% of total cost. FI suggested we take the money just because the error isn't wrong information or anything and he thought because it took us 5 days to notice it, it wasn't that noticeable.

No one will know except you two- and it may be a bit of a blessing in disguise- 30% is a good chunk!

I'd take the 30% and go with it. Really, not one person will notice (Except you!)

Dude... I'd take the 30% refund too. That $300 you can have for something else... like honeymoon spending money!

Well we took yalls advice...accepted the 30% and ran.... Although they messed up I'll still use them for stationary in the future. They did my graduation announcements back in December and now our wedding invites.... they've ALWAYS been extremely helpful and sweet. Now we have $300 extra to use for something else.

GIRL.  It's true, probably no one but you will notice.  It's really such a minor thing.  My invites had THE WRONG TIME on them.  Yes.  the ceremony had THE WRONG TIME on the invitation.  Some of them didn't even have a time at all.  So.. there you go.  We didn't get any money refunded, though we probably should have, but she did do our bar menus, table numbers, and seating cards.  She designed the programs, but I didn't trust her enough to do them, so we printed those ourselves, so because she took so long to get the design to us, my friends stayed up all night printing them.  Yeah, it was pretty hellacious.   I also didn't get the bar menus, table numbers, and seating cards until the NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING because she kept having issue printing the seating cards.  Yeah, let's just say I'm not going to recommend this vendor.
