I know this has been asked before, but can't find the old posts. Could I get some recommendations for bands to play at my wedding? I'd like to spend under $3,000 if that is even possible. Thanks!

Try Austin Ruby's Sweet Jazz Babies, they are a ragtime band and $400 an hour for a quartet of trumpet, clarinet, bass and guitar. They play Monday nights at Quality Seafood if you want to audition without audition...their website is www.arsjb.com. Enjoy!

We loved the Original Reciepe Band and paid less than 3k.

I love Aunt Ruby's, but they have some issues sometimes with getting everyone together for a gig. So make sure that you get in touch with them well in advance. Check out Suede. You can hear clips on line by googling - they are a very good local austin band - also one of my vendors has recommended London Calling. Another band that you can listen to clips online.

The band Suede is great! In fact they are playing at my wedding in March. They play a ton of great rock classics. www.suedeaustin.com
