Vendor Reviews

Hi everyone!  I was never a frequent poster on here, but I always appreciated being able to read other brides reviews, so just wanted to come back and return the favor. The Inn at Wild Rose Hall-AGlenn and Morgan were great throughout the whole experience.  The Inn itself is gorgeous and very spacious.Black's BBQ, Lockhart-A+Kent Black exceeded all our expectations.  The price and the food were better than every other bbq place we considered.  They included servers and delivery to the Inn at no extra cost.  Kent himself came out to make sure  everything ran smoothly.  People are still telling us how much they loved the food.Cake, Please-AOur cake was beautiful, tasty, and affordable. We didn't want a grooms cake, but did ask for brownie trays. They whipped up the most fabulous fudge brownies with peanut butter buttercream icing.  The detailing on our cake was beyond what we had imagined.  Keesha was great to work with.David's Bridal-AHad no problems with service or alterations, but wasn't exactly wowed either.  I got a great dress for a good price.  Men's Wearhouse-BSuits looked fantastic. The 'B' is because Hubby explained to the girl who took the measurements that no one ever believes his shoulder measurement.  Well, she didn't either.  Had enough time to get it fixed, but they caused multiple unnecessary trips out there cause they didn't listen to the person whose body they were trying to fit.The Glass Fountain-A+Believe every awesome thing you hear about Rebekah.  The flowers were gorgeous and Rebekah herself was a calming presence in the midst of some pre ceremony chaos. Spike Gillespie-A+ Spike took all my cut and paste favorite parts of ceremonies I'd collected over planning and our personal stories and turned it in to a lovely, personal service that was truly reflective of us as a couple.  She was able to put me at ease despite the rain, despite the quirky little mishaps.  She went out of her way to stop by when we forgot the license at the reception hall, despite being on a book deadline and needing to get home.  We loved Spike.Captured by Crystal Photography-A+We loved Crystal from our very first meeting.  Our engagement session was great, and at the wedding she really took charge when she needed to get the shots that were important.  Looking forward to seeing the photos!DJ Jester the Filipino Fist-A+There are not enough words to express what DJ Jester added to our reception.  He took a list of songs we gave him and then added his trademark spin to everything else.  We danced and sang along all night. He was great at communicating leading up to the wedding, and we wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone wanting a DJ that's not quite the norm.  He's a talented performer who knew how to work a crowd.J+L Sound-A+Jason was awesome right from the start.  He coordinated with DJ Jester on what equipment he would need, I never had to worry with the details.  Showed up early, stayed late. Loved him.Say Cheese! Photo Booth-A+Todd was great throughout the whole booking process.  Marcus was patient with both our  younger and older guests.  The scrapbook is one of my favorite keepsakes, it truly showcases the personalities of our guests.  Couldn't beat the price at the time I booked.  Worth every penny.Kelli Avila, Pink Party Queen Event Planning, A+Kelli was a life saver.  I hired her late in the planning process, but she took all my last minute details and wrapped them up.  Day of the wedding she took care of everything. Super affordable, super efficient, one of the best decisions I made was hiring Kelli.Waterloo Films, Jorge Flores-A (pending final product)Jorge was on top of everything.  He had stationary cameras as well as a hand held.  He blended in, was never obtrusive, but still managed to be right in the action.  Quik Print, South Lamar-A+Lily at Quik Print was fantastic. She came recommended by other knotties, and I understand why.  Great quality and service, quick turnaround.  What I expected to be a big headache, Lily turned in to one of the easiest things about my wedding.Nina Barnes, geminitactics-A+Nina is an out of this world artist and her interpretation of Chapel Dulcinea for our invites is a prime example. She incorporated flowers that I had chosen for my bouquet and took her artistic liberty to a whole new level with the inside of our invites.  They were such a special, unique part of our wedding.
