It seems like all the magazines/websites are pushing this idea. Has anyone actually done it? Results?

Lighting was one of my splurges, at my venue it makes the place look AMAZING. The difference is night and day, really.

We are using D&H Stage lighting as well for simple colored uplights and cake lighting which will illuminate our cake table HTH

this may be a little nosey but in what price range are the lighting packages?

Our price with D&H was approx $600 total for a floor breakup, 12 uplights with 3 color gels, 14 color gels for outdoor lights on the venue, 2 outdoor lights for the fountain, and a 'cake' light that has something like 6 or 8 pin spots on it that will highlight our candy and dessert buffet. Includes tax, set up & breakdown.

Lighting totally helps!  I've been looking at different photographers and every wedding I've found with photos looks AMAZING! It seems you'd be able to save money on decorations if you amp everything up with lighting! I'm hoping we can afford it!
