Has anyone had a negative experience with Rachel? We have already hired her and really liked her, but have recently heard rumblings that she's one of the worst in Austin, that she's mean, and that other vendors don't like working with her.... She was the coordinator we felt most comfortable with, which is why we chose her over the others, but now we are starting to second guess ourselves Can anyone else share their Rachel experience with me (either positive or negative) to ease my mind? Thank you!!

I don't have experience with her, but just wanted to offer you some reassurance.      You could think of it this way: It doesn't matter if other vendors like her or not, as long as you like her and she does what you hired her to do.

Wow, I've never heard anything even remotely close to that about her. All of the vendors we've hired through her have had nothing but wonderful things to say about her, the bar tending company practically squealed when we told her who referred us. She has been nothing but amazing to work with so far, I feel like hiring her was one of the best decisions we made! Out of curiosity, where did those rumblings come from?

We absolutely love Rachel and I haven't heard anything like that. All the vendors we've hired so far love her too. She's been great so far and has really gone above and beyond my expectations.

Thanks for your responses! It really does make me feel better The rumblings were from a relative of ours who is in the wedding industry in Austin. We trust her opinion, but I'm hoping she is wrong on this one! Rachel was by far our first pick after meeting/corresponding with several other coordinators and we've been really happy with everything so far!

After my wedding, I wrote my review of Rachel on Yelp.  Please check it out - it's too detailed to repeat here.  In a nutshell, I have nothing but good things to say.  I heard the same from my vendors, the venue directors, and my guests.  Sounds like the naysayers may be jealous of her success?

I wanted an incredibly organized planner, with the creativity, expertise, and contacts to wing it when the inevitable last minute crises arose.  Rachel surpassed all expectations.  Rest easy - you're in good hands.

We've worked with her as a vendor several times and have always enjoyed working with her and her crew.  She has high expectations of her vendors but that should be expected.  She's very thorough and has always contacted us several weeks prior to the events to make sure everything was lined up the way they should be.

I know this is an old post - but I wanted to say that I was completely mis-informed!!!!

My fiance's aunt is in the wedding industry and she thought that someone else was our planner (let's just call her J) because J called her, talking about how she had met with us.  When we heard about how our planner was the worst, she was referring to J - NOT Rachel!

Our aunt met with Rachel not long ago and loves her.  My apologies for even putting the tought out there that Rachel was a bad planner.  She has been wonderful to work with and we are thrilled with our decision!
