Good DJ in Austin?

Hi All,Does anyone know of a good DJ that can really guide the whole evening and is reasonably priced in Austin?  I am hoping for around $800.  Thanks!

We're using Byrne Rock's apprentice Ryan and he is far below that price point. We've heard really great things about his skill as a wedding DJ and we're really excited to have him!

We're using Byrne Rock, too.  I've been really happy with him.  When you fill out paperwork you can choose what type of 'personality' you want him to have as a dj (just play music, formal, interactive, etc).  PLUS, he's just a cool person which is a big check in my book.  And totally affordable.  We weren't even going to have a dj because we're on such a tight budget.  But Byrne is an amazing deal.

Byrne did a fantastic job for our 9.12 wedding. The dance floor was full the whole night and he knew just when to slow things down and when to pick up the pace. He simply made announcements without trying to inject a cheesy DJ personality into them. Also, he was sure to ask DH or me if someone requested something strange (Yes, 3-4 of our friends requested Bloodhound Gang just to see if he'd play it. He did not). He was one of our favorite vendors.

I'm another Byrne Rock fan.  My vendor reviews were posted last week but basically I echo what everyone else has said!

We're using Greenbelt DJ. I've heard great things about him, and he's been really on top of communication so far.

We had a great experience with Joel @ Greenbelt DJ for our 10/25 wedding.  He was extremely professional and wasn't cheesy at all.  He was great about keeping everyont dancing and letting everyone know what was going on without interrupting everything.  He kept the reception rolling along perfectly.  I would highly recommend him!!

I had a big group, huge age range, and a total mix of cultures and beliefs.  Everybody from 8 to 92 came wanting to be an active participant in the merriment, and to have a good time. Needless to say, I was really worried...but I shouldn't have been.

Enter Mark Gil of the aptly-named Hero Production.  Mark was fabulous - he was willing to create whatever we wanted, and yet still guide and / or create for us whenever we lacked the time, energy, or expertise and needed help - and that was most of the time.  He kept everybody up for the entire 6 hour reception, laughing and involved, because he made every new activity into an event.  Mark's a super person who's incredibly easy to work with.  He's in your budget range. Finally, his daughter Miranda sang "At Last" at our reception, which was a very special and memorable part of our reception for everyone.  Call him at 512-576-9373 - you'll be glad you did!

    Hello!

i didn't book a DJ (reception site is Caswell House, so  we thought a piano player would be more appropriate for use), but I did have conversations with a nice gentleman. His name is Joe and his website is www.jcproductionscompany.com .
When I talked to him he seemed very experienced and very affordable. HTH!
