Get Togethers! Ideas and Dates..

So just as the other local boards do, I am going to open the floor for posting about a future get together. Where are places you would like to go, do or see together? When is a good time for you personally?

If you are not interested in it, that is okay too... just getting an idea for them!

McCormick and Schmicks downtown has amazing happy hours on Sundays after 5. Like $2-4 sirloin burgers, appetizers, select desserts and drinks. Its also across the street from this really neat little bar I cannot remember the name of or find online (we are wanting to do an e-pic shoot there).
I would love a get together! Maybe even one day drag the FI's? lol (fat chance I'm sure)

Parking downtown is such a pain... I vote happy hour at Trudy's or Chuy's! The only dates I can't go are the weekend of July 29-August 1 and August 8-12. Can't wait!

As much as I love Trudys, the wait can be insane on a weekend night (we've had to wait 2hrs before) plus they can't seat a table larger than 8 people.

Which Chuys? Isnt there one at the Domain ( I have a friend that works at the north loc) and one on Barton Springs? The one on Barton Springs is very close to Baby A's... lol I am a purple addict!

I haven't really been to any of these places, so I am going to create a poll at the end of the day, with these places to see which gets the most votes.

Are weekends best? I probably can only make it then-- unless it is the week before school which is Aug 16-20. That my only week out of classes.

if you ladies can make it during the week, how about something relaxed & BYOB like blues on the green?  every other wedn in zilker park until august 18.

Weekends are better for me since I live out west and cannot imagine fighting traffic to get into town after work. I do prefer Saturdays since my FI works and I am usually home alone but I am pretty flexible.
(the Zilker thing sounds cool but Wed are the only day during the week my FI is home before I'm asleep )

Ladies, 

What about a rotating  night meet up? Personally Thursday nights are best for me.  We can pick a night and a time and then rotate locations through town each week or month. That way if there are some people that live north they can have a happy hour by them one month and then the next we go south. Share the drive kinda thing! 

I would suggest trying something easy and fun, but not too loud as all of us will want to chat and get to know each other. What about somewhere in the triangle like Saba? They have fantastic drink specials and it is a great atmosphere. But it is never super packed so we can all sit and chat. 

If we all cant make it to this one then maybe we set up another one on a different day of the week next month so we all have a chance to meet up and share war stories!
