Venue Finally Booked!!!!

We put our deposit down at The Mansion (Texas Federation of Women's Clubs) today!! I'm so excited that we've actually booked something. I was beginning to feel like it would never happen. Just wanted to share . . .

    Congratulations!!  I think finding the venue is the most difficult choice to make, and The Mansion is such a beautiful place!  Have fun with the rest of the planning!

    Congrats! Finding a venue was the most difficult wedding planning decision for me. It took us 3 months! Your venue is a gorgeous venue. Happy planning!

    That is so exciting! It took me a long time to decided on a venue but I'm also getting married at The Mansion in April!

    We just booked ours last week too. the Mansion was beautiful but we went with Winfield Inn in Kyle. Congrats on the check!

    Congrats!!! That is my #1 pick for a venue and Im glad to hear brides(to-be) who are happy with it. If you dont mind me asking, were you happy with the pricing as well? This is the deciding factor for me, because, as you know, EVERYTHING has to be brought in.

    Obviously less expensive would always be better, but it was one of the very few venues that we went to that my FI and I both liked. Something there just clicked for us. Of course I think it was the 11th or 12th venue we visited, so we were getting really tired of looking too. We are getting pretty good rates through musical chairs for the chair & table rental and meeting with Mary Longoria with My Classy Ocassions (in San Antonio) for table linens. Even with the delivery fees these two companies were both less expensive than local Austin vendors. China, flatware, & glassware rentals are going to eat up a lot of my budget, but we just couldn't see using disposable items . . . anyway all in all, it may be expensive for what you get, but it was what we wanted so we're making it work.
