Officiant Question

Morning Knotties! I'm wondering if anyone has any guidelines for choosing an Officiant. My fiance and I are meeting with Joey Wilson next week and his rate is $350, is that the average??? I feel like it's sort of high but I was a guest at a ceremony he officiated and it was beautiful.
The bride had nothing but great things to say about Joey and my fiance says that $350 seems fine. I guess I'm hesitant because we haven't spoken with any other officiants. I think I'm just looking for some reassurance does $350 seem to be going the rate and is it crazy to book an officiant without meeting with any others???
Thanks in advance for any help or insight you can provide!

It's similar to the rates we were quoted.

That's the fee we paid our officiant - however - he donates his full fee to charity - very cool!! Larry Todd - you should check him out - he was AMAZING!

I think it's up to personal preference.  If you like Joey Wilson and are fine with his fee, then you should use him.  We're also using Chaplain Larry though. He worked out perfectly because we wanted a ceremony that wasn't super religious but still observed that it was a holy union, etc.  He is such a nice man too.  He took time to meet us and talk about our relationship, how we met, & what was important to us.  It was a way to make sure he felt comfortable officiating for us too. His fee was really reasonable and he donates it to charity, so what more could you ask for?!  I'd highly recommend checking him out if you're open to meeting additional officiants.
