This is none wedding related but i moved to austin a few months ago and havent gotten my hair done since i got here, i dont want to pay a ridiuclous amount but i still want my highlights to look natural and not make my hair look yellow....so any suggestions where i go? thanks for the help

When I lived there I went to Bradz. I worked as a cocktail waitress and all the girls I worked with recommended the place to me. I lived near campus so I liked that the salon was on 35th Street and they were always nice when I went there. They have three locations- the "new talent" one, the spa location and the downtown (more expensive) location.  I would get my hair cut at the new talent salon for cheap and get color at the spa location. The color was a little costly but was the best color/highlight EVER. You can get a cut and color at the same location, just request to be with a "new talent" stylist to get the cheaper price.

I go to Lola at Zig Zag Salon on Guadalupe. She's awesome. I get full highlights for $80 and a cut for $40. I'm sure that there are less expensive options. I've lived here for 8 years, and I've tried lots of places and people before deciding on Lola. I've been going to her for about 5 years and couldn't be happier. 

As a college student, I told Lola I didn't have money to get my hair colored a lot. She did an amazing job (and still does) of blending my highlights so I don't have roots for a long time.

Maybe try Ulta they have locations all around Austin!

I ended up going to Trina Mallet at Grapevine Salons on 620, based on a recommendation from a friend. She was awesome with the cut, and I'll be back soon for the highlights.
