Wedding photography

Does anyone have any suggestions on photographers? I need to get my engagement photos done, as well as book for the wedding.

    Do you have a price point on what you want to spend on a photographer?
    We went with SHE-N-HE Photography. We get along great with her and love the work that she has done for other people (we haven't had engagment pics yet).
    Another one we liked was WhitneyLee Photography. There are a lot of great photographrs in the Austin area. Just take your pick.

    I second the price range issue. Think about what you want to spend and go from there. Check out the local vendor search on here. You can search by price... there are even a couple great ones that have packages starting out at lower than 1000 dollars!

    I am going with J Mark Photography and am really excited :) I like that there are two photographers on site to make sure and photograph every moment possible and from different angles.  They are a husband and wife team and seem very nice.  They are quick to reply with emails and answer any questions you may have.

    We decided to go with Beloved Photography. Jamie is so amazing! She gives money back to children in Africa, so we made a difference just by using her for our wedding. Anyway, her photos are beautiful and she's a great person (realllllly funny, yet professional). http://www.belovedphotography.net/

    We are using J. Mark Photography also. Like having two photographers - and they have a new live photo booth that I am really excited about. It is one of those - increase the entertainment value at the wedding without an added cost and I am ALL about no added costs!

    My wedding photographer is Jake Holt - www.jakeholt.com - He is freaking awesome.

    I can also highly rec Elizabeth Jayne - www.ejayne.com - she shot my bridal shower a few weeks ago. Super talented and sweet!!

    We are using Ben Godkin, he's great and we love the samples he showed us.  Also, my FI's brother, who is a professional photographer, gave us the thumbs up and agreed that Ben has very high quality work.

    I went with Nessa K.  I was obsessed with Christina Carroll, but she wound up being just out of my price range.  Totally excited about Nessa, though!  She's really talented and does a great job with catching the lighting just right.

    We went with Photo512 or another name they go by is Photography Shoppe. They have great prices and AMAZING photobooks.

    We have booked with Sweet Caroline...www.sweetcarolinephoto.com ... She has AMAZING photos!  We are so lucky that we were able to book her for our engagement photos, bridal photos, & wedding.  And her prices are really great!
