Officiant recommendations??

I am looking for a really personable officiant who can help me create a non-denominational ceremony. We don't want heavy religion...

Any suggestions/good experiences?

Also - what is a normal price range that they should charge? I have no idea!

Suggest Chaplin Larry Todd or any of the other chaplins with Austin Wedding Chaplins
    http://www.austinweddingchaplains.com/

They charge $150 - This is a non profit organization - funds they raise go charitable organizations around central texas. How cool is that?

Here is a blurb from thier website:

Austin Wedding Chaplains is a consortium of independent Chaplains who have the desire to help people in need.
The majority of the proceeds generated from our wedding fees are used in conjunction with Central Texas Crisis Chaplains to aid and assist veterans, police officers and firefighters.

I am planning from a distance, but feel really good about Chaplin Larry. Good luck!

We are using Larry Todd for our wedding in October. We've met with him once and he is such a nice guy and it seems like our ceremony is going to be really nice. We're doing the nondenominational thing too. He explained how the whole service will be and it seems really unique. He's officiated over 1000 weddings I believe...so he's definitely experienced!

We talked to Larry Todd, who is very nice and excited about each wedding. Unfortunatly, he backed out on us after he realized he was double booked while we were driving across town to meet with him.  He does seem like he'd be great though.  He books up quick.

    What does Larry Todd charge?

I think our fee is $300 which includes the rehearsal and the wedding. I read some posts a couple weeks ago and someone said he doesn't do rehearsals anymore so I think it's cheaper. I'm not sure about him not doing rehearsals anymore - I would just ask if you're interested.

We are using Micheal Boles. We actually met with Larry Todd but he was very very rude to my fiance and I.  He had a lot of "rules" and things that he did not prefer happen at the wedding such as kids in the wedding party.  He also refused to talk to us after about 5 minutes when we mentioned that we had not officially decided on someone and that the purpose of the meeting was getting to know him first.
