Old Glory Ranch

Hi, are there any brides that have gotten married at Old Glory Ranch? I went to see them this weekend and loved it but when they sent the contract they quoted us $7,000 for flowers. I am not at all a flower person and am happy with very simple centerpieces and bouquets. Does anyone know if they end up charging you this amount no matter what types of flowers you choose?

Also, any reviews of the overall experience with them would be much appreciated! It is starting to seem like their quoted price does not include any of the little extras that they show you on the tour.

    We considered them when we were looking at venues. Like you, I was surprised by the "extras". Plus, you are required to use them for flowers... although they obviously do incredible work, I am like you- flowers were not a primary part of our budget.

    Also, the day of our tour, we were very unimpressed with how we were treated. We were shuffled in and out, handed a packet and sent on our way. We were told that if we wanted to see their alternative ceremony sites (by the river), we had to find them on our own.

    It is NO DOUBT a gorgeous place and it was hard to walk away from them because of that. However, in the end, we found better value elsewhere. We ended up at The Winfield Inn.

    I am getting married there in October. We were quoted the same, but were told that everything is quoted on the high side. Whether or not this is true, we havent found out because our design meeting is in the summer.

    I love the experience I am having with them so far. I get a day of coordinator, the DJ/florist is included. For catering we sent them 8 menus and they sent them out for pricing and then we choose based on that. I also was able to book a wonderful photog through the DOC and now just need an officiant and cake person. They give suggestions along the way and are willing to help with anything they can. I'm planning the wedding from Florida, so with their help everything is coming together!
