Bridal Extravaganza

I keep seeing ads for the bridal extravaganza, and a search through the Knot forums has not turned up any information. We already have the venue, caterer, photographer and music, but still need cake, groom/groomsmen clothing, transportation. Is going to one of these things worth it? I'm past the overwhelmed stage, so I don't think that will be a problem, but I just don't know if you already have the big things, is attending the extravanganza worth the time?

To us it was, just to taste all of the cakes in the same place. I pretty much ignored the rest, except for taking pictures of floral arrangements I liked for inspiration.

There is so much inspiration that can be gained from going to the extravaganza! I'd go if for no other reason you can try lots of cake and there were at least a couple of transportation options there at the one in January. Word to the wise though . . . if you plan on providing vendors with your information or entering in the 'give-aways' take pre-printed labels with your name, address, & other contact info. It will save you tons of time!

Just be really focused on what you need and don't let people suck you into their booths.  I didn't wear the Bride sticker, and people were 1000 times less obnoxious to me.

THIS, but make sure that when you register for the show and print these labels that you don't give them a phone number unless you are really interested in the vendor, and you make up a new email address to hold the TONS of SPAM you will get for the 12months following the show. Its horrible. Even if you don't give info directly to the vendors, they get it from the organizers. I've been called 4 times by someone saying I won something when I really didn't. Once it was a "free makeover for me and 5 friends". It was really a Mary Kay party. sucky!

So yeah, only give them real info if you actually want to work with them, and definitely have a separate wedding email address set up before you buy your ticket to the show.

We saved money going to the Bridal Extravaganza for our cake, tuxes, and DJ.  Vendors often give significant show discounts.  Go hungry to taste all the wonderful cakes.

My fiance and I loved Simon-Lee's cakes, plus we got a good discount.  Our guests raved about their cake.

I got a coupon for $3 off for the Bridal Extravaganza and wanted to share it: coupon code BE3OFF. I am going to create a separate wedding email address and include that with my name, address and wedding date on labels to hand out to vendors. If I am really interested in a vendor, I'll set up an appointment with them at the show so I don't have to worry about getting unwanted phone calls.
