Cake?

About how much was your cake per slice?  I have seen that most I am looking at are aroudn $2.50.  I am looking for a small (yet tasty) cake for about 125..any good suggestions that aren't too $$.  Thanks

How about having a smaller cake that you can cut for photos and then have a sheet cake in the back that the caterer/staff can serve to your guests? I've been to a wedding that did that and it was fine.

i dont remember how much mine was per slice but i have a 3 tier cake with edible ribbon around each tier and edible flowers on the first and second tier, and edible cake topper; and my FI has a square german chocolate with chocolate dipped strawberries. with delivery and set up our cakes are 885.

but i've heard alot of people are doing the show cake thing too!! GL

I'm using Cakes by Kathy and she is very reasonable. I believe her prices start around $2.25 or $2.50 per slice. And they are super tasty!

I suggest Humble Pie Desserts - Cakes are really pretty and very good. She has a nice website with pictures.

We are getting our cake from Round Rock Donuts. They were by far the best tasting and most affordable. We're getting a 3 tiered cake which feeds 100 people for about $250 (with delivery fee). I think that's what it was anyway, i'm going from memory
And in my opinion they're cakes are just as beautiful as the places we went to that specialize in wedding cakes. We got my birthday cake from them last month and it was delicious and beautiful. I have no doubt that they'll do a great job with our wedding cake too.

Go to the next Bridal Extravaganza show and select your cake vendor there.  Most vendors offer show discounts if you sign up during the show.

We loved Simon-Lee's cakes and signed up there.  We received a 10 or 15% discount.  My wedding cake was beautiful and delicious.  We received alot of compliments about our cake.
