Villa Antonia and Sterling Affairs???

We are considering booking Villa Antonia for our wedding in December. We love the fact that they have flexible indoor and outdoor space, thought the venue was beautiful...and it reminded us of Italy (where we got engaged!!!)

My only concern is reading some bad reviews about the wedding coordinator online, and not knowing much/if anything about the catering company.

Anyone have any experience with the venue???

Thanks!

My Step-brother got married there in January of 2008 and the site was very pretty. However, the food while not bad by any means, was not memorable by any stretch either. I also remember having a hard time finding the place.  I can't comment on the wedding coordinator part.

I attended a wedding there last year and like the person above said, it was very hard to find but gorgeous.

My good friend got married there earlier this year. They are very strict --- you must do everything through them which means things can get expensive really fast. Their food was from Sterling Affairs as well, and wasn't great. It wasn't awful, but I ate it because I was hungry. The chicken was very dry and you could tell that everything had been made way in advance and had been spending a lot of time under the heating lamp.

I was invited to a wedding there once and wound up not making it because we could never find the place.

Also looked into having our wedding there (finally found it)  but the event coordinator irritated me.  Not that she's mean or rude.  Just VERY over the top for me.  Plus my mom had a fit over the long dirt road.  Amazing view though!

my daughter is getting married at Villa Antonia in 3 weeks.  The folks at Villa Antonia have been wonderful to work with.  Also, we just met with the caterer, Sterling Events, and they too were so accomodating.  The venue is bar none, sooo beautiful...it's the Texas hill country...so expect...a little drive.  If your guests get very detailed directions, it can easlily be found.   Been to numerous Austin weddings, and this venue just can't be beat.

Best friends of DH and I got married there January 09 and they didn't have any complaints at all.  We also thought the food was great and didn't think there was anything wrong with it.  It was hard to find but the place was so beautiful it was worth it, IMO.
