Hey everyone!!
I am looking for a reasonable wedding cake bakery in the austin area.  By reasonable I mean around $2 to $3.50 a slice.
Thanks!!

Michelle's Pattisserie, she is really well known in town and does wonderful work. I thought she was going to be super over priced but she was perfect. I am getting a cake for 75 people, with specialty flavors and design for $350. That includes tax and delivery. Check her out!

If not Cakes by Cathy was really reasonable too.

Check out classic cakes by Lori. She's in dripping springs but her cakes were wonderful and very reasonably priced.

If you have some time to make the decision a good option would be to go to the Bridal extravaganza the first weekend in June. There's always tons of cake vendors there with samples and pricing. That's how we picked our cake (and then did a formal tasting) but it really helped us narrow it down.

Check out Matty Cakes. He is truly an artist. His prices are really reasonable as well.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. If you're looking for a non-traditional option, go with Nothing Bundt Cakes. They have a location in Cedar Park. This is what we're doing for the wedding because we're not super traditional people and the cake there is heavenly! I second the other suggestion that if you can go to the extravaganza, it is a one stop shop for cake because you can taste as well as ask questions. By the time we left the one in January, I didn't want to see anymore cake for a while . . .

Jane Naivar's Cake Creations out of Taylor. Her designs are amazing and she charges regularly $2.25 a slice but if you want speciality flavors like chocolate-covered cherries she'll charge $5 a slice though.
