So I have never been the girl that has dreamed for years and years about her wedding. I have been engaged since last April and my fiance and I are planning on a September wedding. I am starting to get anxious because I still have not nailed down a ceremony or reception site! After looking at magazines, online blogs, and millions of pictures I know a few things. I would love for my wedding to be rustic/chic, causal but still feels elegant and I want my family and friends to have an amazing time.
Since the day I got engaged I have toyed with the idea of an outdoor wedding but here is the thing I live in IOWA
I have never been to an outdoor wedding here and I know if I could pull it off it would be unbelievable. My parents live on a 15 acre property with a large barn that I keep having dreams about. I picture a beautiful outdoor ceremony, white tents, a barn decorated with lights, mason jars, and burlap. The only thing that is holding me back is the property is located 30 minutes from any accomodations (hotel). I have also been told it is difficult to get venders to a remote location for a reasonable price. Parking may also be an issue for a wedding size of 300 or greater.
Does anyone have ANY ideas or solutions that could help me make my dream wedding a reality. I could use the help.
