Does my fiance need to ask my only brother to be a groomsmen? If one of my fiance's friends is getting married around the same time as us and has asked my fiance to be his best man, is my fiance then required to ask his friend to be his best man?

    I think your fiance should ask only those people who he feels are special to him to be his bestman & groomsmen.  I don't think it should be because you feel obligated.  That being said, asking your brother to be part of the bridal party might be a nice gesture.  We asked my brother and he politely declined because he wasn't comfortable standing in front of such a large crowd of people, but he did accept our request for him to be an usher.  So partly it has to be something your brother would want to do too I think.
