Texas Old Town

Hey everyone!

I've done a search, but I haven't been able to find any reviews or threads about Texas Old Town. I've in love with the pictures, and I get the feeling it's not super-pricey, but I'd love to hear about any experiences y'all have.

Thanks!

I went to a fellow knotties wedding there in December. Her name is Sheaday on here, but I don't know if she has been on in a while. So as a guest I can comment, but not as a bride.

The only real thing that stuck in my mind, that I would have not liked, if it was my wedding, is that they have 3 different weddings or events going on at one time. So when my friend was getting married at her outside ceremony, we could hear the music from the other parties, and it just did not fit the mood at all. The bass was pretty loud, and it made it hard to concentrate on what was happening between the wedded couple, due to not being able to hear what they were saying over the music.

Other than that, I think it is very rustic, beautiful place. I don't know the price on it, but we really liked the looks of the venue.

We met with them when we were looking for our venue. One of my concerns was exactly when BBT mention ed above- there are 3 ceremony/reception locations and they aren't that far from one another.

Ultimately, we didn't go with them simply because it was too rustic and "country" feeling for what we wanted. I just didn't fit with the feel we wanted for our wedding. We really wanted something a bit more elegant and somehow TOT really calls for BBQ. Nothing wrong with that- just not what we wanted. The people were VERY nice though and if you want the Texas feel, I would recommend going to look.

Thanks everyone. The reviews look good on the site, and they emailed me a very affordable price. I'm also looking for the rustic vibe. I might just have to prepare myself to deal with the noise....

You might get lucky and choose a date when it is only you.. you never know. If you love it, then you love it. We are getting married at the sister site, which is called Boulder Springs in New Braunfels. You might also check that one out. It is private, and only one hall, so you may choose to have something like that.
