Catering... reviews/recommendations needed

We're thinking of going with Italian fare for the reception, but haven't narrowed down where from . . . we've checked into Carinos and their pricing is great, but the food is 'just ok'. Thought I'd put it up and see what you ladies come up with. TIA!

Please do not use Corrinos. I have now been to two weddings and they both used corrino in different ways (1 buffet and the other "make your own pasta stations") and in both lines the wait was over an hour for 100-150 people. The food both times was cold. Not room tempature but actually cold. I think their price is cheap for a reason.

I'm not sure the price range you are looking at but Primizie is wonderful and their staff is great.

You should check out Gino's in Round Rock. They have wonderful Italian food and they cater. We would have used them for our wedding but we had to use one of the recommended caterers at our venue.

Mandola's Italian Market is delicious. Also Crave Catering offers a great Italian menu for a good price.

Thanks Ladies! I am weary of using Carino's because I've posted it before several months back and have gotten mixed reviews. I'm not sure if it is dependant on which restaurant location handles your event or what, but I certainly don't want to risk serving cold food, long lines, or in someone else's post . . . running out of food! I was excited about Carino's before because our wedding planner said she's done several events with them and they did a really good job. Anyway, food plays such a big part that we're going to have to do a little more research. Thanks for throwing Mandola's out there. I had completely forgotten about them. The Crave & Primizie menus do look pretty good, but I think they might be a little too fru-fru for us. We're also considering Buca . . . don't know if they do catering off-site though.
