Engagement photo - recommended photographer?

Hey everyone! Looking for a photographer to shoot some engagement photos for us. Reasonably priced would be great. Any recommendations?

Thank you!

I have no idea what is reasonable. I was looking for the wedding photography and added on bridal and engagements because I didn't know if I would be in Austin to get them done. Mine charged me $250 for session and DVD of images. Love the pic's and the couple. J. Mark Photography. They have a website and blog.

We LOVED our engagement photographers, they will also be shooting our wedding...I am not sure how much they charge just for an e-session because ours was complimentary when we booked them for our wedding. But they are extremely affordable for the wedding, so I assume it would be the same for an e-session. They also send you a DVD with all your photos, so you can print whatever photos you want.

Anyway - they can be found at www.oldworldstudios.net, with samples of their work at www.oldworldstudios.blogspot.com -- very unique, not cheesy photos.

We loved our photographer. She did our engagement, wedding and after wedding pics:

She's sweet and very easy to work with and her work is flawless.

    Good luck with your search!

We are using Old World too. They charge 250-300 for an engagement session. It is much more cost effective to get an entire wedding package from them though. Total cost for a bridal, engagement and 7 hours on the wedding day will run you about $2000 from them. They only do 2 weddings a month though, so check the calendar on your website to see if your month is already booked.

I'm using Old World Studios as well and LOVE them. They were also the photogs for one of my close friends last month and did an amazing job. Not sure what their prices are now since I booked them almost a year ago and got a great price well below the $2000 the person mentioned above. But I highly recommend them, such a great couple!

Their prices have gone up since last year. I originally booked them last year, but we moved the date.. and they increased the deposit ($600) and increased the total package prices. (We had to re=book them) The top price is @ $2100 now. Only reason I know.. is because we had to book them again last week.

BabyBlueNTexas- that sucks that you had to re-book at a higher price. I think they went up on their prices about a month after I booked them. But I think they're totally worth it even at the higher price.

Oh I agree-- that is why I had no issues with paying a bit more for them. We had a death in the family, so we had to cancel the 1st wedding date. And when we rescheduled- they honored our original deposit of $300 and we just had to pay the remaining $300 to book them again. MORE than nice on their part! They are an absolute joy to work with!! When is your big day? And have you done your photos with them yet?

Our date is 12/04/10 at Texas Old Town and we'll do our engagements in Sept (kinda late I know but it's too hot outside and I don't want to be all sweaty in my pics!). They shot my friend's wedding in Dallas 2 weeks ago and it was great to get a "sneak peak" and see them in action. They were so friendly and you didn't even notice they were taking photos. A few photos from my friends wedding were posted last week and they are so great, a good feeling to calm my crazy wedding nerves!

I had JMark do my bridals and I LOVE him.  All my pics are so pretty (and I'm not very photogenic).  He's also really reasonably priced for the actual engagement shoot/photo CD.  Ordering prints from him is expensive, but when you buy a DVD of all your photos he gives you a signed copyright release so that you can make your own prints.
