Affordable Ceremony/Reception

I'm searching for an affordable wedding and reception location. (I'd like to be married and have the reception in the same place.) And I'd like to have chairs already provided. And I want the location to offer outside catering. Any ideas?

The Phillips Event Center! That sounds exactly like what I was looking for and why we rented the venue. They include tables chairs and basic linens with the rental for an 8 hour time period, have a large patio and beautiful ballroom for the ceremony and reception, and allow all outside vendors. Plus they were way less expensive than most other venues we looked at in Austin.

Let me know if you want Debbie or Anna's contact info for the venue or if you have other questions.

You should try Bella Notte. They are in Round Rock. When I booked it included DJ, one Simon Lee cake, tables, chairs, linens, tea and water, catering (outside), bartender, plates, Security, for 100 people I think it was just under $7,000. It is a small venue though, so if you are having a lot of guest you might want to reconsider them.

Check out The Page House in Georgetown. They recently went down on their prices and it's a steal! $1250 for off season up to $2350 for high season.

Too bad they didn't have these prices last year when I booked my venue or else I would have gone with them.

If you are willing to go to Georgetown, my best friend got married at Heritage Oaks Clubhouse. Rents for about $1,000. I wish that I had known about it before I got married. Super great place - they have a website www.heritageoaksclubshouse dot com - They have a commercial kitchen and allow you to bring in your own catering. It is so beautiful. They have a book of my best friends wedding for you to view. Good luck - I can't think of any place that will better fit someone looking for a great venue on a budget. Good luck

Page House doesnt allow outside catering and their food leaves a bit to be desired.  Beautiful facility and you get a lot but the food....
Fern Bluff Community Center is nice.  For under $2,000 with 6 hour minimum you get set up of tables/ chairs for up to 180 (you take down), kitchen (really nice kitchen and your caterer will love that), fireplace, projector screen, ample parking.  No linens though.

We used the Caswell House which was very affordable for such a pretty venue.  Their lowest price was for Sunday weddings -- it cost $700, but tables & chairs cost extra in the large reception room upstairs. The rest of the house is fully furnished.

They do sometimes allow an outdoor ceremony.

Also, you can bring in any caterer you want -- it doesn't have to be one on their preferred vendors list.  If you use one of the preferred vendors which we did (Pascal's Catering), you will get an extra hour of free rental.

Check out Bella Notte on Main.  They include everything in their packages - everything.  Not like some who still make you pay extra for real china, etc.  They are very affordable.
