Tipping Help Needed

Can anyone assist me on the tipping?  What's the rule of thumb for the caterer and wedding coordinator?  Also, do I have to tip the makeup/hair person?  I'm paying 200 (at her salon) for both and she owns the joint.  What's appropriate?  Thanks!

Usually, you do not tip if they own the business (from what our coordinator told us). We tipped whoever we wanted though regardless of the "rule".

As a bit of advice- We gave our coordinator envelopes early in the morning with tip money in it for each person because we didn't want to be responsible for remembering during the wedding. This was bad on our part because we were "counting our eggs before they hatched" and assuming all of those people would deserve a tip. Had we only tipped those who deserved it, we'd have saved $400 because two of the vendors we tipped were awful. Point being, advise the tip giver-outter to judge accordingly based on performance of the vendor and don't just give the envelope because it's there.
