Ladies, I'm a poster over on the Bump.  I thought I'd pop over here and ask you Austin ladies for wedding cake vendor recommendations for my BFF.  She doesn't really know where to start and wondering if you had some recommendations for good wedding cake vendors in Austin.  Thanks in advance!!!!

My cake lady is actually a Nestie! Her business name is Kimberly's Kakery (her Nestie name is LonghornBabe and you can page her on the Austin board).

Her cakes are SO yummy and very reasonably priced. You can let her know that Amy D sent you!

We used Simon Le Bakery -- their cake was beautiful and very tasty.  We received alot of compliments from our guests.

By booking at one of the Austin bridal shows, we received a 10 or 15% discount.

Krissys Cakes and Cake by Kathy are both very good and very fairly priced

We are using Sentelli's Bakery...for our wedding as well as a big work function coming up in April.  Their cakes are amazing - and because I am not a huge fondant person, it was really important for me to find someone willing to use buttercream - and have it taste good.  They are able to provide everything I want for my cake, which is probably a difficult task considering I do cakes myself! (I just didn't want to do my own wedding cake).  They are reasonably priced as well - I definitely would recommend giving them a call.  Ask for Darcy and tell her Kathy C. referred you.
