Hotel Block in N. Austin/P-ville/Round Rock area

Hey everyone! 

I haven't posted on the boards yet, but I have recieved a lot of helpful info from you all, so thanks!! 

Now I have a question. Do you know of good hotels in the N. Austin/P-ville/Round Rock area for having a block of rooms at? I would like a place that would be conducive to having a post-wedding brunch as well. Any ideas ladies?

We used Chez Zee as our post-wedding brunch and were pleased with their food & service.  They also have a private party room on site.

Check out the hotel reviews on www.tripadvisor.com to find good hotels in the N. Austin and beyond areas.  Then contact several of those hotels to see what kind of deals they will make. 

Hotels are willing to negoitiate more in today's economy than they did when I got married, so I bet you can find som good deals.

I went to hotelplanner.com to block our rooms. We are at the Hilton Garden Inn in RR. There were about 20 hotels that responded to or bid, from the Marriot at LaFrontera to the Red Roof Inn.

I did a block of 25 rooms at the Comfort Inn and Suites in RR. Liked them because they book the rooms at really good rate, but if they are not booked 30 days in advance they release them. You don't have to pay for rooms not booked.  I put on my save the date cards to book early to get the rates. I recently checked all but 4 are booked my wedding is 11 months away.

We have a block at the Hilton DoubleTree North off I-35 just past 290 & are doing a cocktail welcome reception the night before and a brunch the day after there as well. Carleen Stockberger is wonderful to work with and gave us great prices for everything - lemme know if you want her contact info.

We got our block at the Marriot Courtyard in La Frontera. I think someone mentioned it in above posts. They were very friendly and helpful with a custom link for our wedding website. We got a decent rate as well.

It's pretty nice inside and close to all our venues (rehearsal and wedding)

I blocked at the Hilton Garden Inn at 35 and Parmer and they were awesome.

I recommend the Marriot in Round Rock in La Frontera.  DH's family all stayed there and it was great.

We had a block at the Courtyard Austin North...it's brand new and our families LOVED it.
