site suggestions?

Hi, I'm new to the knot and just beginning to plan the wedding. I am looking for an inexpensive wedding site. Our entire wedding budget is $10,000 so the less the site costs the better, but of course we still want it to be nice. We want an indoor site, since it's going to be in the middle of next summer. We have a fairly small wedding, probably somehwere from 50-100 people. We are looking for someplace as close to OKC as possible. We are open to both traditional and non-traditional sites, so everything from churches to chapels to museums. Thanks for the help.

I recently got married in Norman at the Sam Noble Museum. My budget and wedding size was similar to yours. Pricing at the museum depends on the amount of people, but for 1-75 people we paid a little less than $1000 for use of the museum and access to one of the exhibits.  It included set-up, clean-up, all the tables and chairs, a basic sound system if wanted, and security guards.

we're getting married at the church stephen's parents go to, and it is free since they are members.  we are making a donation, of course, but there is no fee.the reception is going to be at 50 Penn Place on the 3rd floor atrium.my budget is just over 10K, and I am planning for around 150 people.  It's definitely possible, you just have to shop around for stuff :)We mainly just looked at reception sites since the church was already a done deal, but I would definitely try some of the chapels around OKC.  Many of their packages include a lot of stuff, and you can have the ceremony and reception at the same place.

We got married in May at Thunderbird Chapel in Norman.  Website is www.thunderbirdchapel.com, the prices and everything that's included in their package is listed there.  It holds 130 ppl, so it would definitely accomodate your guest list.  Don't worry about your $10,000 budget.  It may seem impossible now, but we had our wedding (ceremony & reception) for about $6,000 total and there are a lot of DIY (do it yourself) brides here that have some great tips on saving $$--it can be done!
