I'm married! Just got back from honeymoon! it feels great. I dont really want to start cleaning..so I will do vender reviews!!! I did so much DIY...invites, centerpieces, favors, flowers, rehersal dinner... it saved a lot of $$$ but it was a lot of work the last week. But my family and In Laws had fun helping! Coles Garden - reception venue A+ - Amanda was my planner there. She was so sweet and fun to work with. They really do take care of everything. They chose several vendors for you that they contract with (I also listed them below). I just had to box up all my decorations to give to them the day before and they set it up and clean up everything. The room looked prettier than I imagined it would...cant wait to show you guys pictures! The grounds and gardens is what really impressed everyone.. M & M production- DJ (contracted with Coles) A++ Jeremy was our DJ. Everything went so smoothly and he did a great job of getting everyone on the dance floor. There were a lot of requests for songs - and Jeremy asked DH and I if it was ok to play (we had told him we didnt prefer hip hop and rap in our consoltation). DH and I were all for it though! EVERYONE was dancing! Sweete Connection - cake (contracted with Coles) A- The cakes turned out pretty and pretty close to what we had discussed. We had wanted a bulvarian (sp?) cream filled cake and didnt get it and she was only available to meet one day a month and then cancelled our meeting a day before. Kings Limo (contracted with Coles) A++ We only had them for a one way transfer after the reception. They had champagne and food for us in the limo. It was a short 15 min trip but a perfect way to end the night alone with DH. A Spot of Tea - caterer (contracted with Coles) - A+ The food turned out great! We went for a tasting a few months before and were not impressed - but definatly was on the wedding day! We even changed a couple details around (we wanted a sit down dinner even though they dont usually do it, changed the sauce on one entree, etc) and they were very helpful!Morning Angel Photography hmmm B-?? I havent seen the pictures yet.... We paid $550 for 4 hours (an affordable price compared to other photographers - but still alot of money to us!) It was a wife and husband duo, and they were arguing a bit. The wife left after the ceremony. The H was soooo weird. He only took 3 formal poses of just the 2 of us at Coles and the whole time was talking about a bride that he shot who flashed him when she was getting ready!! Didnt seem like he was paying attention. And then I offered him a meal...he took an hour to eat it which included his time that we paid for AND had two 16 oz beers with dinner! He kept coming up to me saying he had to leave in 30, 15 min and then when he said he was done - he went and got more beer and started dancing! very unprofessional to me. Maybe I am being harsh...but I really hope his drinking didnt effect all the pictures of the events after dinner (first and parent dances, cakes cutting, bridal toss). we shall see....... maybe you get what you pay for??? Sweiss Alterations - A+++++++++ my by far favorite vendor. I went to Kims Alterations first, and the lady at Sweiss did what Kim said could not be done to my dress. She obviously specializes in bridal and formal dresses as there are pictures everywhere and that seemed to be the only people I saw come in. Plus she seems to loves what she does...she got as excited as me in my last fitting. its off of NW expressway in brixton square behind new panera. All Star Limo - F---------- We booked a 22 passenger limo 2 months prior to date and paid the $550 up front for the 3 hours we rented the limo (from ceremony to reception)!!! They called 2 weeks before the wedding and say one limo may not be working so they have to give our limo to a client who booked before us. But then called back and left a message and said everything was fine and we should have our limo. Then would not answer our calls for one week when we called to confirm. Sooo weird. We finally got ahold of someone who said everything was fine - then the day before our wedding they called and said no limo again - but we have dbl decker bus with a 20ft picture of Kate Moss on the side! I said ok since my wedding was less than 24 hrs away. They were 45 min late!!!!! AND this dbl decker had no AC, could not go faster than 40 miles an hour - so no highways, and you couldnt open windows w/o alarm going off. I MELTED off my makeup, my hair was ruined, and flowers died. My 6 month prego sister was also miserable. We ended up at bricktown brewery for 2 of the 3 hours since it had AC. DH and I think they over booked but didnt want to tell us. Thank god DH and I and our wedding party are easy going and were able to find a way to enjoy the day regardless. Flower Exchange.com - A++ I had 80 hydrangias and they were fresh and huge!! I needed less than I anticipated for pew decorations and bouquets so had extra in other places. Everything looked perfect!
