My mom is making my garter (and one to throw). She got the fabric and elastic at Hobby Lobby. Do you have a mom, grandma, or aunt that can sew? It didn't take my mom much time or money -- and it means so much more when it's DIY!

I got my garter from Michael's with a 40% off coupon (it was a set of two, so I threw one and kept one. My mother bought me a set as well at Hobby Lobby when they had their 40% off wedding stuff week because she didn't know I had already purchased one. Both were VERY inexpensive.

My mom made mine, but I saw tons of sets of them at Alfred Angelo..not very expensive either.

I got mine (a toss one and one to keep) from www.sewuniquegarters.com. They shipped pretty quickly and they have a TON of different garters--I got the OU set.

I bought a set with a keep garter and a toss for I think $5 half off at Hobby Lobby. I wanted to put blue on it so I took about 10 minutes and some blue crystals and added them on. I also sewed on a Fleur De Lis since the FI is french. Everyone who has seen it thinks its awesome and it cost around $7 for both.

I made both my keep and throw garter. It was pretty easy.
