TULSA/broken arrow/jenks Help

Hello, I have recently moved here last year and my wedding date is april 30 2011. Hiring a wedding planner is out of my budget so I am needing some assistance for the following: indoor/outdoor wedding venues, bar-b-q catering, event design ideas.

    I went to a wedding at Chapel in the Woods last year and it was very beautiful.  They had the wedding and reception there and the front of the chapel is made of glass windows overlooking a wooded area, so if you got married around sunset- I am sure it would be awesome.

    I recommend Skelly Lodge in Catoosa or Tarp Chapel. They are both beautiful venues and relatively inexpensive.  Kennedy Mansion in Tulsa is also cut and inexpensive.  Also one of my favorites is McBirney Mansion in Tulsa unfortunately my fiance didn't like it.  Kennedy Mansion and Tarp Chapel are more all inclusive if you are also looking for ease.

    The cheapest (doesn't imply lowest quality) event space in Tulsa is the Ovations Event Center in Sapulpa, OK.  You can rent the space for Friday night and all day Saturday (until 2 am) for $500 and have your ceremony on the dance floor/stage.  You can bring your own alcohol and food.  Rib Crib has decent BBQ catering.  For event design help, I would consult Integrity Party Rental in Bixby, OK... They did a fabulous job for us.

    Tarp Chapel is gorgeous in Broken Arrow.... Chapel in the woods isn't that great if you are planning on having the ceremony and reception in one place.  Camp Loughridge is really pretty too!!! 

    Are you wanting to have the ceremony and reception at the same place?
