hay bales for seating...

Does anyone have any experience with hay bales used as seating? Are they expensive? Can I just rent them? I love this idea, but don't want it to be more of a hassle than its worth. Thanks!

    My only experience with hay bales is from Halloween. We buy one as part of the display. I'm not sure if you can rent them, but I know that Carmichael's in Bixby has some for sale starting in early-mid October. I wanna say they're like $15 a piece. I don't know if you could get them before 10/2, but you could certainly try.

    Carmichael's or Conrad's in Bixby might be able to get them for you that early. You'd have to buy them, though. Never heard of renting them.

    They are more expensive then just renting chairs. I priced it out and you can get probably 3-4 people per bale. People aren't going to want to sit that close though. You can rent white chairs from Erhle's for only .75 a peice.
