Are you thinking about fall 2010?  If you are, I would start booking now!  Lots of places get secured 6 months-1 year in advance!

Good luck and have fun planning!  The wedding always goes by way too quick!

Take a look at Coles Garden, the Harn Homestead, Ashland Gardens and the Dominion House, just to name a few...

Start looking now and find out what you like. And let them know that you are looking around to get an idea now so that you can budget for what you want. I've run into some vendors in the past, especially when I was a year and a half plus out, giving me grief for planning so early. Needless to say, I didn't book with them. Some just don't understand the need to begin planning now, so that money is saved up and schooling can be completed or close to being completed, etc. Plus, some places will book at least 9 months to a year plus out, depending on the demand.

I booked way early for mine, but I'm glad that I have my date secured. I would have been devestated if someone took my date at the venue I'm getting married at and having the reception at (the History Center).

Good luck as you begin the planning process and selecting your venue!
