New Jersey - South

Flanders

We have booked our wedding for next year at the Flanders. Anyone have any experience with local bakeries, florists, djs etc! Any advice would be great!!

Thanks in advance!

Did they recommend any to you? Usually if they list recommended vendors they have to be pretty good.

I'm not from the OC area, but what I found to be helpful was vendor reviews posted by fellow south jersey knotties.  You can look back through old posts and find them.  I'm not sure if the Flanders is the same, but I found the recommended vendors from Lucien's to be a little pricey and according to online reviews not that great.  They are a great place to start though.

I live in Mays Landing but wedding will be in AC.  Try Christine's bakery for cake (she does a great price and her cake was the best that we tried anywhere...ask for Sue). We also looked at Bake Works in Linwood, Irene in EHT( I highly suggest you stay away from her...her cake was so bland and dry, horrible). For flowers check out John from County Seat Florist (he is who we're using and is fantastic and was rated really well by fellow SoJo knotties), there is also Betina's in Galloway (she does great work, but is a little pricey), and I hear great things about Somers point florist which is right at the corner of Rt 9 and the 52 causeway.  My DJ is from Turnersville but comes down here often for evens (Dynamiccrew.com...Lou, he is very reasonable and fantastic.  This is the 3rd time my family is using him).  My photographer is also from up that way.  Her name is Inger (keepsakestudios.com)  She too is very budget friendly and its the 3rd time my family is using her again!  HTH  If you need anything else, just ask!

    Hi !
I live in OC and checked out the Flanders before going with Greate Bay.  I booked Abella Day Salon and Spa for hair and make-up, they're very nice, have many make up artists in case your bridal party is large, and are very reasonably priced for the island.  I am using Tony from Somers Point Florist and he is amazing! He does more than flowers, ie rentals, lighting, etc. Also, DiNardo Bros is recommended by Flanders and they are awesome to work with for DJs.  Very reasonable too I paid $850 but I'm getting married on a Friday night.  Good Luck with everything! If you need a local's opinion don't hesitate to ask!

    Hi there
I am getting married June 27, 2010 on the beach and having a brunch reception at the Flanders.  Manic Botanic is my florist.  The Cake Studio is doing my cake.  Darren is an artist for sure.  The Butterfly Boutique did my invitations and will be doing the place cards and table cards as well.
If there is anything else I can help you with let me know.
