NEED ADVICE ON THE MERION'S CHAPEL AREA

okay so we are getting married at the Merion, however, i was not a big fan of the chapel area. I am not crazy about the stainglass backdrop.So, for all of the Merion brides who have received the Merion Book they give you when you go visit them , there is a picture of the chapel with curtains as the backdrop of the chapel instead of the stainglass , which she made herself. Im thinking of recreating that but with different colored curtains. Anyone have any alternatives, or advice for this backdrop? Any tips for how to make the same type of curtains? Any comments are helpful. THANKS!!!

    I asked my coordinator about that as well!  She told me the girl came in and measured the window and then just used double stick tape to put it up...  I comtemplated trying it out but I'm not sure if I'll actually follow through on it as my wedding is in less than 6 weeks and i have a ton of other things to do!

    We're going to do curtains as well... we were going to use those command strip hooks that come off the wall cleanly and use decorative shower curtain hooks in the shape of snowflakes to hang our drapery to match the theme... our theme is blue and ivory so we're doing a blue shimmery opaque fabric to cover the stained glass. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who wasn't a fan of it!

    wow i am so happy i am not the only one!! Thats awesome and a relief! These ideas of how to hang them are very helpful , i had no clue how she did it to the curvature of the frame so now i have ideas!

    ayme707- wow double stick tape? i wonder how well that holds up curtains....i guess pretty well seeing as that brides looked like they were sturdy.

    rangergirl- the hook idea sounds great, so does the fabric that you're using. Be sure to take pictures and post them on here after the wedding!! Also, do yuo happen to know the measurements? I did go there an measure but i was by myself so i dont think i measured accurately.

    We are a florist listed on the Merion's preferred vendor list...We have a solution to the chapel's stained glass windows...I have attached a picture for all to see. If interested in the inserts for the chapels windows, you can give us a call at 609-575-2761
