Registry??

Hey Ladies!!! Soo I am absolutely TORN! I registered @ BBB last weekend and was SO disappointed!! I registered for a lot of big things, but didnt like any of their every day dinnerwear. I felt completely pressured to register for the most expensice of each type of item and now that ive had time to sit and think, I think I am going to un-register for a lot of the expensive items.

Any way -- I am going to register at Macys for whatever I didnt get @ BBB, but I dont like any dinnerwear @ Macys either! The dinnerwear I love is at JC Pennys. My fiance says it may come off rude that I registered @ 3 places....any suggestions? How many places did/will you register for?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I REALLY appreciate any help you could give!

We registered at BBB and Target....we have different ranges of prices for people to chose from...i honestly agree with your FI....if you want your everyday dishes then go buy them....im sure some people will give you money so just put some aside so that you can buy your everyday dishes.....

If i got nothing off of my registry i wouldnt be devastated...but this is coming from a girl who doesnt even want a shower because we already live together and have most things!!

I registered at 3 places. BBB, Target, & Macys. We are having a somewhat large wedding and I wanted people to have options. You could ask this quesiton on the ettiquette page too and maybe get some feedback but I thnk it really depends on the couple and their situation. My FI and I won't live together before marriage so we will really be starting a home together after the wedding. Whatever ppl don't get on our registry we plan to take advantage of the post wedding registry discounts.

I would definitely change your registry to match what you want and what you feel comfortable with. There is no point getting a bunch of stuff you don't even want.

I agree, register what you want and where you want.  We had friends who only registered at BBB and about a month before their wedding had to add 2 more registries (target and macys) because they had no more gifts for guests to buy them).  If you're worried about price from BBB, then think about macys cause they're pretty expensive too.  jcpenney and target are great cheaper alternatives, and if you like stuff at those stores, then register at all three.

(sorry if this is a little jumbled.  I'm at work, its early and i didnt sleep much last night.  my customers are looking at me funny when the words dont come out of my mouth right haha)

We registered for both macy's and BBB and we also have a registry with our photographer to get prints. I think 3 is fine. Anymore than that is a little much.

I was afraid of having too many registries too, so we did BBB and Amazon... The Universal Registry on Amazon was great, you can add anything from any website and it'll show up on your Amazon registry.  We had stuff from Macys, Target, Crate & Barrel, Sears... so convenient!  Although I will say, most people I think prefer to go to BBB because of the coupons :)

I really don't think there is anything wrong with registering at three places.  We registered at BBB and JC Penney.  I was in the same boat as you and did not like the everyday dinnerware at BBB and I was feeling pressured to buy expensive stuff so I found dishes I loved at Penneys and went with them.  If you like stuff at JC penney then register there too.  If it's just the dishes that you want though then just wait because you will get cash and you can just buy them.  Good Luck!

IMO there's nothing wrong with registering at 3 places-we did! We registered at BBB, Target and Kohls and this helped b/c it gave more gift options and also b/c some guests didn't have all 3 stores by them
