Invitation envelope addressing

quick question: we bought those invitation kits from target and i noticed that they only come w/the invitation and rsvp card and envelopes for both ive heard that you are not supposed to write "& guest" on the external envelope and most i have seen have ANOTHER envelope inside the external one & that one has the names like "Melissa & Guest" or whatever, now since i do not have that inside envelope how would i handle this? should i buy extra envelopes? should i find another way to like attach a little tag thingy off my ribbon that has thenames on them? i didnt nkwo what you guys did or are planning to do - any advice would be greatly appreciated!! :) thanks!!

    Our invitations have only a pocket , so we have the same problem with no inner envelope. I am trying to find the names of our guests significant others so we can add their name too to the outer envelope, otherwise I will be putting "and Guest" on the outer envelope. I was worried about it at first, but everyone I have asked as agreed that it is fine. HTH.

    Because you don't have an inner envelope, it's acceptable to write "and guest" on the outer.  But you should try to find out all the names of your +1's so you can properly address them.
