DIY invitations

So I know I am super early on this, but i got my invitations at ac moore yesterday! I had a coupon! and couldnt resist. now im going into anxiety mode. Did anyone print their own? it came with the rsvp card.. Should I do a directions card? its smithville and a lot of people are coming from the voorhees/ cherry hill area.. ! i am so confused lol! TIA

    I printed my own invites. I didn't do a directions card because I figure in this day and age that a lot of people have GPS or they can google map the directions. If you wanted to do one you could just get cardstock in whatever color goes with your invites and print them up. Good job for getting them early and with a coupon! What do they look like???

    My FI and I bought our invitations but printed our own directions to save a little money.  Our church (Cathedral of the Woods in Medford Lakes) told us many people get lost when they use GPS to get there so we kind of had to print directions.  We went to xpedx paper in Cherry Hill and got a great deal on paper that matches our invites and FI is computer savy (unlike me!!!) so he matched the font to the invites and voila!  We have directions that match our invitations but cost much less.  We also did an accommodations card giving people info about the block of rooms we have reserved at the Westin where our reception is.

    I am printing up directions on paper from philadelphia area (most family is from there) to our church and from the church to reception.  I put the address of both on the direction card b/c the address is not on my invite so people can mapquest it or use gps to come from their particular location.

    Very nice, cbuck! Those go great with your color scheme! You are way ahead of the game and there is nothing wrong with that! FI and I just ordered our invitations this past weekend (I am DIY-challenged) and the wedding is in a little over 3 months! It never hurts to get done what you can b/c before you know it, your wedding will be right around the corner and you will have tons to do.

    Thanks everyone.. Ac Moore had a lot to choose from. I am just glad it's one more thing I can cross of my list. Between, taking my nursing school entrence exam to engagment party on the 19th! oh boy... Hopefully after tonight's test I will feel better! But thanks for the nice words!!!
