Did anyone ever use Starr Catering? I'm wondering if it's outrageously priced

I am wondering the same exact thing!  My fiance and I are both obsessed with the Starr restaurants, so it would be fantastic if they could cater our wedding.  I just emailed them, so if I get a price quote, I'll keep you posted.  If anyone else has used Starr, please let us know if the prices are reasonable.

He has some really great restaurants - I was surprised to hear they had catering as well.   I'm glad you emailed! Let me know if you hear anything.

Hey!  I finally got the scoop.  SO - it is NOT outrageously priced, but I guess it depends on your budget and taste.  Starr Catering got back to me and said their cost is anywhere between 100 and 175 - and I don't think that includes 7% tax and 20% gratuity.  I'm more in the $100 a head range, so I'm DEFINITELY going to try and make it work out and see if they will work within our budget!  Their catering menu basically includes all of their signature foods - think kobe beef sliders and calamari salad and cocktails - think Buzz Aldrin (but you bring in your own liquor).  Their price also includes all rentals.  They also set up El Vez or Buddakan or Continental vignettes that are themed... and have food from each particular restaurant.  If you want sample menus and pricing, I can attach pdfs that they sent when I get to work Monday!  Good luck in your catering search and hopefully Starr works out for you... I'm hoping it works out for us too.  I am obsessed with the thought of this!

I bet the food would be incredible!! That price might be a little high for me once they add in tax and gratuity, but if they will work with you, it would be amazing! Do they have a venue? I would love to see the menus if you have a chance to email them. My email is LisaLPharmD@aol.com. Thanks! Also, did you see Tangerine is opening for events like that? It's not very big though, so it's for a smaller wedding. They can go up to 250, using the lounge for the cocktail hour and the upper and lower dining rooms split up for dinner. They said they would try to work out a dancefloor in another room. I don't want everything split up like that, but if youhave less people, I bet it would be nice. Maybe for a rehearsal dinner or something.
