Handfasting Question

We are doing a handfasting during our ceremony- I was wondering if anyone had a good description of it that I could put in my program to explain to people what it is, since most people probably don't know. I know I could write one but I thought someone might already have a good one Thanks!

I would just be honest. In your program explain briefly what it means and represents, and why it is important to you. It shouldn't be a big deal. If someone has an issue with it, don't stress about it, it's your ceremony.
