Alfred Angelo Dresses....

Hey ladies! I went up to Lancaster to look at bridesmaids dresses at the Alfred Angelo boutique. I don't want to order the dresses there in a couple months because then we'd have to drive up there twice-once to order and once to pick up. I have been looking around to see other stores around the area that carry Alfred Angelo dresses, but some of them have gotten really bad reviews. Has anyone gotten their dress or their bridesmaids dresses from a store in South Jersey and had a good experience? TIA!

I went to Irma's.  I know there are mixed reviews out there, but I have had a great experience so far.

I actually bought my dress at AA in Lancaster.  I had a great experience there and got the dress for $200 off during a big sale.  That savings was worth the trip there and back!  I did do alterations locally.  I also found their selection was better since they had all of the new dress styles--no local salons carried the one I wore. We ordered our AA BM dresses from Cove Bridal in Pennsauken--I do not recommend going there.  All of their dresses came in either way too big or way too small.  The owner had clue what she was doing.  I know Bunchybuncher got her Casablanca dress at Kay Bridal in Maple Shade.  I have also heard Irma's is good. GL!

Oops!  I thought you were looking to buy your gown too.  I wouldn't have the BM drive there and back twice either!  Definitely try Kay or Irma's!

Closer to the shore there are two shops with AA bridesmaid dresses.  You can call them to find out if they have a particular dress style in store.Wedding Belles, Linwood:http://www.weddingbellesboutique.com/Something Old Something New, Ocean City:http://www.sosnbridalshop.com/

i actually ordered my gown, an Alfred Angelo, from Cove Bridal. We ordered bridesmaids dresses there too, but they were Jordan. SummerPastelBride - I read your review, so i'm hoping my experience is slightly different! All of the dresses, including mine, came in last week, so i'm going on Thursday to check them out and try on my dress. I told all of the girls to wait until I get the dresses before they pay the balance on what they owe. From my experience so far, the woman who owns the shop is really nice and helpful, as I have a few pregnant BM, so we needed to be flexible with their dress sizes. I had heard some good reviews about the shop, which is why I went there in the first place. I'll let you you know how the experience is, and if there are any issues with the dresses.

Havhope--I hope for your sake you don't have the issues we did.  The owner is very sweet but she honestly did not know how to order the dress sizes properly.  One of my bridesmaids had to have her dress let out 3 inches (and she didn't gain weight) and 2 others had major amounts taken in.  The other 2 had similar issues just not as bad.  We did alterations elsewhere but they were still expensive for the girls.  My older sister had used Cove back in 2005 under the old owner who was fantastic.  I was very disapointed in the new owner. GL!
