JOP in Cape May?

Fi and I are planning our wedding for September 2012 of next year in Stone Harbor, NJ.  A mutual very close friend of ours is marrying us in a symbolic ceremony.

We were planning to go the JOP a day or two before and get married there to make it "official."  Does anyone know where we can do this?  I heard somewhere that the mayor in Cape May will do it, but I'm not sure how to find his contact info.  Does anyone have any information or any direction for me?  I've been Googling it all morning it feels like and I can't get any straight information.

Nevermind- I found what I was looking for.  Info can be found here (http://www.capemaycountygov.net/Cit-e-Access/webpage.cfm?TID=5&TPID=504) for anyone who found my post in their own searching and is looking for the same information :)

Not to be rude but why can't you just get married the day you are having your reception? Your friend can get ordained very easily online.  This way your friend can marry you legally.

Or if he cant get ordained in time could you have the mayor of Cape May there the day of and just have him sort of stand in and do the vows and "legal" portion and have your friend preside over the rest of the ceremony?

Oops- sorry I didn't see this before :)

We have heard horror stories about people getting married by someone who was ordained online and then finding out later that it wasn't legal.  She is getting ordained, but we're considering JOPing it just in case (to cover our butts).

The mayor of Cape May won't attend weddings on the weekends- I asked.  Only on weekdays during business hours, and we have to go to them :/

We're still looking into her getting ordained, but we wanted the JOP info just in case :)
