Photographer!

Hi all!

I am new here, and am not getting married until 2012 - but I wanted to see if any of you have or plan on using Jordan Brian Photographer.  When I first found him online I fell in love with his work right away.  We are not booking him right now just becuase it is so far in advance (probably more like 18 months before the wedding just to make sure and hope that our day is available.)

Anyways, just wanted to know your experience with him and the pictures?
TIA! :)

I don't post here often anymore nor did I use him but I've seen pictures of his work from a few different people who've used him and it's gorgeous!  And other reviews I've seen about him on here previously have always been positive.  GL!

I loved him, and wanted to book him, but he was a bit out of my price range.  My videographer, Tom Johnson from Alliance Video Productions recommended him to me.  You might not want to wait until 18 months, you would be surprised at how many bookings a lot of them have even that far out.  I am not saying to do it right now, but if you know you want to use him, you could book even earlier, just to be sure!

I booked Jordan as my photographer and I absolutely love him! He has a great personality and high energy which helps to keep you smiling. His work is amazing. We only met with one photographer and that was Jordan and we booked him right away. We already did our e-pics and those were awesome. I can't wait to see the guestbook. I had done some research on photographers and I didn't like anyone else as good as him except for Laura Eaton who is in Philly but she's more expensive than Jordan. You'll be in good hands with Jordan though. The only downside to Jordan is that he's so good that you'll love all the pictures and will want them all!

Btw, I agree with imparlett, Jordan books fast! I booked him 14 months prior to my wedding date and he said he only had a few slots left open for 2010 and I had booked him in June of 2009.

Jordan Brian's work definitely looks amazing and I have always heard good things about him.  If you want to look at a few others with similar styles, try Cindy Patrick, Mike Landis, Kamila Harris, and Sarah Schulte.  Ditto PP about booking far out.  The most popular photographers book fast!  We lucked out and were able to get Sarah Schulte's last spot for 2009 by booking in January for an August wedding, but most people book their photographer over a year out.

Thanks ladies!  I am now starting to rethink when we will book him! It makes me want to call him up today! But I think I was more nervous of seeming like a "bridezilla" if I booked this far in advance - but you guys are right about the good ones book up fast!

SummerPastelBride - thanks for the rec's.  my back up is Mike Landis ;)  I suggested him to my best friend and she booked him (there e-session pics came out gorgeous!)

I am sure it wouldn't be weird for him, I bet he has had other brides book this far out.  If you are worried, call him and ask him.  Tell him you are not sure if you can book him now, but wanted to know how far out he usually books up.

I saw on his website that he is already halfway booked for 2011, so... sounds like the books pretty early.  I also thought I read that he only takes a certain number of bookings, so check.

Only thing you have to lose is if for some reason he decides to stop doing photography between here and then...  but I doubt it!

I wouldn't reccommend him. He didn't make me feel like I was any kind of priority and he didn't seem to really care about me at all. He talked a big talk but when it really came down to it he was only interested in doing thing HIS WAY.....and then to top it off he desgined the album without me and then charged me to make changes. And my album he designed only had 40 pictures in it. When I sat down and told him I was upset by it all he told me that it was my fault because "I was too nice" and "not a bridezilla like most brides". He also fought me on every change I wanted to make to my album. His work is AMAZING, but once he gets your balance he's a pain to work with. If you want to fight to get what you want, you will have the highest quality pictures anywhere in the area, if you want a "fun time" look elsewhere. I'm sorry. I wish I could reccommend him. The pictures were on the top of my list of things I wanted. To have it be the worst part of my experience was heartbreaking for me. :(
