Florist help!!

My wedding is 94 days away and I don't have a florist!!!  IDK if I'm being cheap, but I keep getting quoted at like $150-$175 for tall centerpieces, and that just seems insane to me.

I don't get it really, is the arrangement really THAT much bigger for high centerpieces then low? Why is it so expensive?

IDK, if you guys have any suggestions of florists in the cherry hill area that arent totally outrageous, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

That's about the right price.  It depends on what flowers you are trying to use.  You are renting or keeping the tall vase and it's filled with flowers.  Therefore its going to be expensive.  Also, you have to account for the time and creative energy it takes for a florist to put them together.  Either decide on new centerpieces or get ready to pay.

I am doing low centerpieces (3 square glass vases) on each table.  ~80$ a table.  So the price for tall centerpieces sounds about right.

Cynnabun, I am having the same problem.  I went to Leigh Florist in Audubon, and the tall centerpieces I picked were only $85, and the low were only $48.  I am still looking around to see if I can get someone to stay under $2500 bc I still have some time to shop around.

Hey girls, I am having a wedding for 150 people with about 15 tables.  A combination of high and low centerpieces.  My total bill for flowers, which includes the reception tables, mine and 5 bridesmaids bouquets, FI and 5 groomsmen boutonnieres, 6 corsages, and 4 other boutonnieres and 3 red roses for a rose ceremony, is a total of $2000.  I am using Floral Designs by Janine in Moorestown.  She works alone out of her house, but she is great.  I will say that at first impression when you go to her house it will make you nervous, or at least it made me nervous cause the hosue is not the neatest and most put together for having a personal business.  However, my MOH used her in March and the flowers were amazing and she was on time and and a pleasure to work with.  And the same can be said with my time spent with her for my wedding as well.  She is extremely accomodating and willing to work with you in your price range.  Her number is 856-764-6330.  And if you decide to use her and you say that I or someone you know recommended you, she will even offer a deal where if you are willing to pay cash she will not charge you taxes, which as we all know can add a decent amount to the bill.  I guess another perc to owning an at home business.

I am using mums the word and her tall center pieces started at about $100 depending on what flower you were using.  She is great and works within your budget

I second Mums the Word. Tell her your budget and she'll make sure that you guys stay in it. There were times when I wanted a certain type of flower and she flat out told me no because it would get too pricey. I Love that!

I know you want the Cherry HIll area, but check out County Seat Florist in mays landing.  I'm pretty sure he travels to cape may, which is further and he's doing my tall centerpieces for $60 each and the low ones for $55.  If you book the whole thing (ceremony and reception) you get big discounts from him.  He was the cheapest I found when searching for flowers, cause like you, I wasn't paying $120 for flowers per table!

I'm using Cape Winds in Cape May. Debbie was easy to speak with and definitely seemed like she knew what she was talking about. She's doing our table centerpieces for $65 and our tall place card table arrangement for $85.
The type of flowers you pick are going to determine how high the price goes.

I know Cape May is not Cherry Hill, but she's traveling an hour to Galloway for me.

I am using Garden Party Sisters in Elmer. They stayed below my budget and i absolutely adore them. The price for the tall centerpieces sounds about right to me, maybe they can come up with some non-floral ideas to add to the tall centerpiece. that way its still tall, but has what you need to make it pop. good luck!
