Tented Weddings by the beach.

Looking for pros and cons on a tented wedding by the beach. The venue we like is on Beach Ave and we would be having a tented wedding on their deck. We are looking for a May 2013 wedding. You can't control the weather inside the tent. That and rain are my main concerns. I feel like May should be nice though. I am not sure. Opinions?

I am actually thinking about doing something similar for May 2014. I had excellent weather for my graduation on May 11 of this past year. Cooler in the AM, but warmed up nicely during the day. What beach are you planning to get married on?

I recommend checking weather archives...you can look up average rain fall for certain weeks/months on sites like weather.com.

How many guests will you have? Some tents can get expensive ($2000+), but many companies offer features like glass doors/walls and heaters. See how far in advance supplies need to be booked...maybe you can get a good weather forecast and can for-go some more expensive additions to the tent.
