advice on music....dj? band? background music?

I need advice on what to do about music.  We are having a very small sit down dinner for our reception.  The venue does offer playing background music.  My question is should we get a DJ, Band, Jukebox, etc?  I don't love to dance and about half of the guests won't dance.  I am scared that if I don't have dancing then what will people do for the 3 hour reception, but if we do have dancing I am scared no one will dance (including me) :).  Any advice???

I'd look into alternative entertainment. Think outside of the box...maybe a comedian, a photobooth, a photo DVD of the two of you throughout your lives, or some games (I've seen a game where the bride and groom are asked questions about each other and hold up shoes for whoever they think the question applies to) Do you have a theme?

If you and you're guest don't like to dance I wouldn't waste the money on the DJ or a band. I'd just plug in an Ipod for some background music.

I think if you have the money in your budget, a live band would be nice.  People could sit and enjoy the music, watch the musicians, and dance if they want.  It would be more like a nice restaurant or jazz club feel.
