(This message is being posted in multiple boards, sorry if you came across it twice)
I travel a lot and was looking online through Continental OnePass account at my upcoming reservations.
I clicked on my Hawaii HM reservation and I took a double-take. There were 4 flights:
Newark to LA
Maui to LA
LA to Newark
Newark to LA
Anyone realize something odd? The first leg of our trip was duplicated!!
I now will be making the trip from Newark to LA twice , and unless I have an outer body experience there is no way this could happen!
I quickly opened my confirmation email (book June 17th) and it read:
Newark to LA
LA to MAUI
MAUI to LA
LA to Newark
-Phew, this is correct-.soooo what the heck happened?????
I called Continental and they said that the flight from LA to Maui is no longer operating!! Naturally, my response what "WTF, and no one felt the need to let passengers know? And you just booked my outgoing flight twice?"
The Continental woman (who was really nice) mentioned that they didn't inform me of the change yet because the flight is so far away.
!!
So a half hour later my flight is rescheduled..
Lesson learned: Periodically check important FUTURE flights :0) If I wasn't doing some rando web browsing when would I have been informed of my flight cancellation?
PS - I love Continental.. and this is not a Continental Bash...
