Hotel Block - Mt. Laurel Westin v. Mt. Laurel Marriott

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to see if anyone had any opinions on either of these hotels, or if anyone had stayed at either. Both are located on Rt. 73 in Mt. Laurel (and are right next to each other actually). My fi and I checked both out but wanted to get other feedback if possible before we book one for our hotel block. Thanks in advance for any and all help!

I can't speak for the Marriott, but we had our block at the Westin and it was very nice (and new).  We didn't get the 10 minimum rooms blocked to get ours for free, but we did get the upgrade to the Junior Suite for the room block rate.  I picked that hotel because the bar stays open until 2AM so it was nice to hang out with our friends who stayed there after the reception.

Ditto pp, I can't speak for the Marriott. However, we just booked our reception at The Westin. We haven't done the room block yet, but we did have the hotel manager show us the rooms that would be reserved for our guests. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and CLEAN!!  Also, we were sold on the bar/restaurant area as well.

We blocked the Marriott.  It was $119/night for guests, and the brunch the next day was cheap too.

We did a room block at the Westin.  We had an after party at the bar and we were the only guests using the bar which was nice.  I found them to be very accomodating, our contact person called me a few days before the wedding to check on things.  My dad had an issue that took them a little while to resolve-his AAA rate was cheaper than the room block rate so he booked through AAA instead.  But on his bill they charged him the room block rate.
