Mt. Laurel Marriott just changed to Hotel ML

Has anyone used this hotel for a wedding block?  Just wondering if anyone else is concerned with this recent change?  I am having my wedding at the mansion and I have a lot of out of town guests.  I am concerned and not sure whether to change to different hotel for my block of rooms.

I heard they lost their flag as a Marriott, so who knows? Call the Mansion, they have hotels they work with. I don't believe the Marriott was one of them anyway??

We're using them for one of our blocks. Going to have to give them a call.

Like PP said, I would call and speak to them. If they don't put your mind at ease, I know the Mansion promotes the Hampton Inn (Voorhees?) and the Wyndham Mount Laurel because they have a shuttle service available.

We're also getting married at the Mansion (in June) and did a block at the Wyndham. We chose there because we stayed there after my brothers wedding and thought the rooms were a good deal for the comfort they provided.

    Good luck with everything!

I hadn't heard good things about it as a Marriot... we got married in January and did our block with the Wyndham and other than one problem, we had a very good experience with them. We got a very reasonable rate and they had the entire block on one floor which all the guests really enjoyed, we also got a free shuttle to and from the wedding with 15 rooms booked and we got one room free with 10 rooms booked. The problem we had was a miscommunication with our guests about the cancellation policy.

Thanks!  i am looking into a change and I called and I am waiting to hear back.  I had originally gone with the Marriott because I had a lot of family with marriott rewards and getting free rooms.  Now that the hotel changed, that is no longer the case.

The Doubletree in Mt. Laurel is also really nice.  All of their rooms are suites & we had no problem with them.  You may get a block discount if you let them know it's for a wedding.

So far my experience has not been the best with hotel ML.... unlike a marriott, they don't have someone who always answers the phone.  It took one of my guests 5 calls to finally talk to a live person.  It took her yet another phone call to booka room.  The website set up does not have access to all rooms.  I am constantly asking for double bed rooms to be added.  I will continue to update.  Hopefully my stay there will be better than the service so far because for a hotel.. getting over 20 nights of rooms,,, this is awful costumer service!
