Officiant issues

Alright so original plan was rehearsal dinner Thursday pm in hometown 2 hours from venue, with rehearsal in a park. Question is is where do I hire them from? Its a 2 hour drive either way, has anyone ever skypped a rehearsal with officiant?? Help!!!!

I am not having the officiant there with me because the officiant is just someone from the cruise ship that we are getting married on. I have a ceremony outline that I have put together and we will do a walk-through on our own... LOL, maybe even with my father pretending to be the officiant!

I think rehearsals are nice because they let you walk through it a few times so that you're not so nervous on the actual day of the wedding. 

If you can get internet service at the park, by all means skype it out!  What a fun and unique idea!  It will add to the story of the wedding and I think you could get some cool memories from it. 

Is your officiant not willing to make the drive?  If you haven't asked him yet, you might want to try...

If he won't and you can't make skype work, then I agree with the bride that said to do it without him.  You're rehearsal will accomplish most of the same goals without him there.
