first glance

Hi ladies!
     My photographer wants me to do a "first glance" and see my fiance before the ceremony so that we can get all of our pictures done and enjoy the cocktail hour. I never envisioned this, but she has valid points.  Can anyone offer some advice on this?

    we are going to do some version of this (nothing too dramatic, some of the first look pics i see make me giggle) because we want to do pics before and not miss cocktail hour.  plus you'll still look super spruced up cause you'll have just inihsed getting ready. i know some people don't ike them bc they really ahve always envisioned seeing their FI for first time down the aisle and they dont want to give that up. the other neg thing i have heard is that some people don't like it bc they don't have their wedding bands on yet. but if you aren't superstitious i dont see why you just couldn't put them on for the pics and take them back off for the ceremony. or, if you are like me, you don't mind that they will not be on for pics.

    We did it and it worked our perfectly.  We were able to do the first look and pictures with our wedding party before the ceremony and it left us with time to enjoy our cocktail hour.

    It did not take away from the walk down the aisle one bit.  I don't think anything could detract from that moment.  It was amazing.

    We did it too, and I agree with PP. We got to enjoy (most) of our cocktail hour..after doing all of our pics and then with the bridal party and then family there was still a few family pics we had to take after the ceremony. During cocktail hour we got to mingle with the guests so that we didnt have to go table to table during the reception. Im really glad we did it. And like PP said, nothing can really take away from that moment walking down the aisle..
